YouTube is a popular video site, but it can be difficult to access on some smartphones, like the BlackBerry Curve. In order to watch YouTube videos on the BlackBerry Curve, you will need download a separate application. The regular BlackBerry Curve browser does not support the JavaScript needed to view YouTube videos. However, there are other browser applications, including the Bolt browser, which are free and available for the BlackBerry Curve. A different browser will enable JavaScript so that you can watch YouTube videos.
Step 1
Open your Web browser and go to the Bolt website. Click "Download" on the menu bar. Scroll down until you reach the BlackBerry specific version of Bolt (see the link in Resources).
Step 2
Click on the BlackBerry-specific version of the Bolt browser to download. Click "Save" at the prompt and Bolt will wirelessly download to your BlackBerry Curve.
Step 3
Press the "Bolt" icon on your BlackBerry Curve and then press "Run" to run the browser. You will now be connected to the Internet.
Step 4
Type the YouTube Internet address in the address bar. Find the video you want to watch. Click "Play" and the video will play.
Tip
- If you are having further difficulty watching videos, you can also download the BlackBerry Launcher, available on the Bolt browser website.
