Verizon Wireless offers talk, message and data services for family plans.

Family plans from Verizon Wireless allow customers to share minutes, texts and data services on as many as five phones. Customers can select from numerous talk plans, talk and text plans and add-on features, such as data. All family plans have unlimited calling to other Verizon customers, unlimited nights and weekends and no roaming or long-distance charges.
What Talk Plans are Available?
Verizon Wireless has four talk family plans, and each plan is available with two, three, four or five lines. The more lines, the higher the monthly fee customers will pay. The smallest number of minutes available for family talk plans is 700 anytime minutes. Every additional minute over the allowance incurs a per-minute fee.
The other plans are the 1,400, 2,000 and unlimited anytime minute plans. The plans are increasingly more expensive per month as the number of anytime minutes is expanded, but the per-minute fee for overages is less as the plan prices increase. The 1,400- and 2,000-minute plans also offer the choice of 10 friends and family numbers that customers can call for free.
What Types of Talk and Text Plans Does Verizon Offer?
Verizon Wireless also provides talk and text family plans in several options. The least expensive talk and text family plan is for two lines with 700 anytime minutes. It is more expensive than just the talk plan, but texting is included, meaning all lines have unlimited texts, picture, video and instant messaging services. The plans increase to 1,400, 2,000 and unlimited anytime minutes, just as the talk only family plans do. The prices increase as the number of talk minutes increases.
What Features are Available?
Customers subscribing to Verizon Wireless family plans receive various features included with their phone service. Basic voicemail is included, providing space for 20 messages, three minutes of recording space per message and a 21-day retention of messages. Premium voicemail is available for an additional fee to customers desiring more space within their voicemail. Other features include call forwarding, call waiting and caller ID.
What Add-on Features are Available?
Add-on features are available with both the talk only and the talk and text family plans. With the talk only plans, messaging can be added in pay per use form or in a monthly fee package. Text packages include 250, 500 and 5,000 text-per-month plans. With talk only and talk and text family plans data services can be added for an additional fee. Data plans include access to the Internet and email from Verizon Wireless mobile devices. Some devices require the purchase of a data package.
