In today's world of advanced electronics the smartphone has become the norm for many. The capabilities of these phones is ever increasing, replacing or replicating many features traditionally only performed by personal computers. Many smartphones offered by Verizon Wireless now offer the ability to share Internet service through Wi-Fi to other nearby devices. Using this built-in service, it's possible to access Wi-Fi Internet anywhere on your iPod Touch.

Step 1

Enable Wi-Fi sharing on your Verizon phone from the Internet settings menu, and then name the connection and provide a password. Each phone has a different configuration, so refer to the owner's manual for your specific device for more information on how to activate this feature.

Step 2

Touch "Settings" on your iPod Touch.

Step 3

Touch "Wi-Fi," and then touch to select the wireless network from your phone. The name and password will be the one you created for the network on the phone. Your iPod Touch connects to the network and will automatically connect in the future.
