The Nintendo DSi is the third model of Nintendo DS released in the United States. Upgrading from its predecessors, Nintendo outfitted this new model with two cameras, one facing forward and one facing backward. Like other DS models, the DSi has two screens, one of which is a touch screen. Nintendo DSi owners can use Wi-Fi to browse the Internet or Nintendo's online store. Nintendo hosts several games on their online store, as well as videos and demos.

Step 1

Navigate to your DSi's system preferences by tapping on the wrench icon in the main menu.

Step 2

Select "Internet," and tap on "Connection Settings." Select the "None" icon next to "Connection 1."

Step 3

Tap on "Search for an Access Point." Your DSi will search the surrounding area for any Wi-Fi signals.

Step 4

Select a wireless network to join. If a lock icon appears next to a network, the DSi prompts you to enter the network's security password. If the lock icon appears open, you do not need a password to log into that network.
