Sprint offers a wide selection of PDAs and service plans. With a PDA phone you can do more than make calls and send and receive text messages. With a PDA, you can check your email, track appointments, get directions, store music and photos, and so much more. Here is how to get started with your Sprint PDA phone.

Step 1

Activate your Sprint PCS service. To do this, either dial *2 from you cellular device or 1-888-715-4588 from any phone. You will be asked to provide the phone's Electronic Serial Number (ESN) and verify information. Once your service is activated you will be able to use your PDA.

Step 2

Customize configure your PDA. Set the date and time for your time zone by going through the options menu and choosing the correct selection. You can also personalize your PDA by customizing the ring tones and background images on your handset in the "Settings" menu. Download the appropriate applications from the Internet browser, if you wish to use features such as Google mobile or I-tunes.

Step 3

Set up your Sprint PCS Voicemail. Check with the manual for your device for more information on how to access your mailbox. The first time you access your voicemail you will be prompted to choose a greeting and pass code. You will be able to make changes to these settings at any time after setting up your voicemail.

Step 4

Choose and set your email preferences. You may either create a new email account for your PDA or use an existing email account. If you are creating a new account, you will be asked to choose a

username and pass code before using your email. To access an existing email account, you must first make sure that your PDA's Internet browser supports your email service. You will then save your existing username and pass code to the PDA.

Tip

  • If you plan on accessing email and the web regularly, it is a good idea to consider an unlimited data plan to avoid excessive charges on your monthly bill.
