The Nintendo Wii console is a multimedia device that allows access to games, pictures, movies and the web. With the Wii Internet Channel, users possess access to most websites directly from the console. Using the Wii remote as a mouse pointer, users can click Internet links and access any form of web content efficiently. Moreover, Nintendo has added full keyboard support to provide a more complete web browsing experience.

Step 1

Download the latest Internet Channel, version 9.30, which implements keyboard compatibility into the browser. If you obtained the Internet Channel after Sept. 1, 2009, your browser already possesses keyboard support. Otherwise, press the "Wii Shop" channel from the console's menu, then click "Start Shopping."

Step 2

Click "Wii Channels" followed by "Internet Channel." Press "Yes" to confirm the free download, and allow the procedure to complete. Once finished, the Internet Channel will be available from your console's main menu.

Step 3

Connect the keyboard in question to a USB port on the back of the Wii console.

Step 4

Launch the "Internet Channel" from the console's main menu and select "Start." The browser will automatically detect the availability of a USB keyboard.
