The Nintendo DS is a portable gaming device that features a two-screen setup and online gaming. If you want to connect your Nintendo DS to the Internet but do not have a local wireless network in your house, purchase the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. With this USB cable, share the network connection on your PC computer with your Nintendo DS so that the device can get online.

Step 1

Insert the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector CD-ROM into your computer's disc drive, then press "OK" when the installation tool launches.

Step 2

Select a language and click "OK" again.

Step 3

Connect the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB cable to a free USB port on your laptop or desktop when the installation tool prompts you. Wait for the setup process to finish.

Step 4

Double-click on the blue Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector icon in the taskbar in the lower right corner of your Windows desktop.

Step 5

Turn on your Nintendo DS device and go to the "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Setup" section of the main menu.

Step 6

Choose the "Connect to your Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector" option.

Step 7

Go back to your computer, highlight the name of your Nintendo DS from the list that appears in the pop-up window and click the "Grant permission to connect" button. Your Nintendo DS now connects to your computer's network connection using the USB cable.
