How to Upload Video From a RAZR Phone With USB

by Phil Hoops

The Motorola RAZR is a compact multimedia cell phone. The device comes with a built-in digital camera, as well as a mobile Internet browser for surfing the Web on the go. In addition, the RAZR also features a media player application, which can playback various files ranging from music to digital videos. Transferring videos onto your Motorola RAZR using a USB cable will allow you to watch your favorite clips whenever you go.

Step 1

Press the "Power" button on your Motorola RAZR's keypad to power on the phone. Press the center button on the keypad and select "Settings." Click on "Connections" and select "USB Settings." Check off the box titled "Set as Default" and press the "Clear" key to return to the main menu.

Step 2

Insert the mini end of the mini-USB cable into the left-side port of the Motorola RAZR. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. Wait for the computer to detect the RAZR as a storage device.

Step 3

Double-click on the "My Computer" icon on your computer's desktop. Locate the storage device titled "Motorola_RAZR" underneath the "Removable Disk" heading and double-click on it to view the contents of its memory. Locate the video file that you wish to transfer onto your Motorola RAZR. Right-click on the video file and select the "Copy" tab. Right-click within your Motorola RAZR's memory and select "Paste." Wait as your video file is copied onto your phone.

Step 4

Right-click on the USB icon on your system task tray at the bottom of the computer screen and select the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon to disconnect your Motorola RAZR from your computer.
