Text messaging is an important feature for many mobile phone users. By texting with your Samsung OMNIA phone you can possibly save on your talk-time minutes while still keeping in touch with your friends and family. Texting is also a handy form of communication when verbal conversations are not possible due to your surroundings or circumstances. Depending on your mobile plan, texting for your OMNIA may be included with your phone's mobile plan.
Step 1
Press the “Main Menu” button on your Samsung OMNIA from the Home screen. The currently installed apps on the phone are displayed.
Step 2
Touch “Messages” and then touch “Messaging” from the menu on the left.
Step 3
Tap “Menu” and then tap “New” to open a blank text message to send.
Step 4
Touch “Tap to Add Recipients” and then touch the source from which you want to add your contacts. Options include your phone's call log and phonebook. You can also choose to manually enter the 10-digit phone number of the recipient.
Step 5
Touch “Done” and then touch the blank field for the message. Enter your text message using the on-screen keyboard.
Step 6
Touch “Send” to complete and send the text message from your OMNIA phone.
