How to Sync Outlook With an iPhone & a Computer

by Travis Meyer

ITunes allows you to sync contact data directly with your Outlook account so you don't have to update it manually. Thanks to synchronization support for your contact, calendar and notes data in Outlook, the iPhone stores the corresponding information in its native Contacts, Calendar and Notes apps for easy access while you're on the go. Additionally, after configuring the synchronization, iTunes will automatically add contacts you've recently recorded in your iPhone into Outlook.

Step 1

Connect your iPhone to your computer using the Universal Serial Bus (USB) connector cable and launch iTunes.

Step 2

Select the iPhone icon in the left side bar and open the "Info" tab.

Step 3

Check the box next to "Sync Contacts" and choose "Outlook" in the drop-down menu. This syncs your Outlook contacts with your iPhone's contacts application.

Step 4

Check the box next to "Sync Calendars" and choose "Outlook" from the drop-down menu. This syncs your Outlook calendar data with your iPhone's calendar application.

Step 5

Check the box next to "Sync Notes" and choose "Outlook" from the drop-down menu. This syncs your Outlook notes with your iPhone's notes application.
