The Apple iPhone allows you to keep track of a variety of contact information and calendar events using the Contacts and Calendar apps that come as native programs on the device. You can save time entering contacts and calendar information into the device by syncing your Microsoft Outlook information to your iPhone using Apple's iTunes software.
Step 1
Open iTunes with your iPhone connected to the computer via USB cord.
Step 2
Find and select your iPhone from the source panel at the left of iTunes. It appears with a battery meter next to it below the Devices heading.
Step 3
Click on the "Info" tab, across the top of the iTunes window. Click the "Sync Contacts From" check box and set the drop-down menu to the right to "Outlook." Choose which contacts to sync using the boxes below.
Step 4
Scroll down to the "Sync Calendars With" option and check the box next to it. Change the drop-down menu to its right to "Outlook." Set specific contacts or an all-inclusive contact sync below, and check the box to avoid syncing old calendar events if desired.
Step 5
Click the "Apply" button at the bottom-right of the window. iTunes and your iPhone indicate that a sync is taking place, and iTunes warns you not to disconnect the phone from the computer until the sync is complete.
