The Samsung Captivate is an Android-powered phone that comes with a built-in contacts list. Although many Captivate owners manually manage their contacts list, some choose to automatically sync with their Facebook friends list. Syncing with Facebook allows the phone numbers, email addresses, pictures and names of Facebook friends to be carried over from Facebook to your Captivate's address book. Syncing contacts merely requires enabling the option in your Facebook app's settings section.
Step 1
Tap the "Applications" icon on your Samsung Captivate's display.
Step 2
Scroll through the list of currently installed applications. Tap the "Facebook" app icon.
Step 3
Press the "Menu" button on your Captivate and tap the "Settings" icon in Facebook.
Step 4
Scroll down through the list of Facebook app settings.
Step 5
Tap the "Sync Contacts" button under Settings.
Step 6
Tap the "Sync All" option and tap the "Sync" button to sync contacts from Facebook to your Samsung Captivate.
