Bluetooth headsets allow you to connect to your cell phone without wires as you make and receive calls. This is especially useful in circumstances such as when you are driving and can't hold your phone. Syncing or pairing your new Bluetooth headset or earpiece with your Bluetooth-capable cell phone is not difficult.

Step 1

Press the button on your headset that will broadcast Bluetooth. This button is typically labeled and on the side of the headset. Generally, you must hold it for several seconds to start the pairing process.

Step 2

Access your phone's Bluetooth settings, usually found in the phone menu.

Step 3

Select the option to "Search for" Bluetooth devices in your area. A list of devices including your headset should appear. If not, repeat Step 1, then search for devices again.

Step 4

Select the icon or listing for your headset.

Step 5

Enter the four-digit code as listed in the headset's manual when prompted by the phone. Typically, the passkey is "0000.'' Click the "Enter" or "Confirm" button to connect your headset.

Tip

  • Be sure to only use Bluetooth when needed to save your battery.
