Pop-up ads are created by advertisers to show up as a small browser above the page you are trying to view. Most browsers come with an option to block these ads so you don't have to see them anymore. Microsoft has made it easy to stop pop-up ads from showing up while you surf the Web on their Internet Explorer browser.

Step 1

Open Internet Explorer.

Step 2

Select "Tools" from the menu.

Step 3

Click "Pop-up Blocker."

Step 4

Select "Turn On Pop-up Blocker."
