There are many advantages to setting up a DSL wireless connection, such as portable Internet connectivity and the ability to transfer files between multiple computers from various locations. Whether you are setting up the wireless network in your home or office, all you need is an Ethernet cable, DSL modem and wireless router to begin roaming cyberspace free of Internet cables and wires.
Step 1
Plug in the power source for your DSL modem to an electrical outlet. Locate the telephone or Internet line along your wall and insert the loose end into the back of your DSL modem.
Step 2
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your DSL modem and the other end into the WLAN port on your DSL wireless router.
Step 3
Power on the DSL modem and the DSL wireless router and watch for blinking green lights where the Internet and Ethernet connections are made. The last blinking green light should be next to the "Wireless" icon on the front of your DSL router. Once the "Wireless" icon begins to blink, you have successfully established a wireless Internet connection.
