Pairing your Katalyst to a headset requires a simple process.

The Samsung Katalyst is a cellular phone that allows you to connect wirelessly with other devices through Bluetooth. To enable your Samsung Katalyst with a headset, car stereo or other Bluetooth device, use the Katalyst's software and the Bluetooth pairing protocol. Keep both devices within a 30-foot range so they recognize one another to complete the pairing process.
Power Bluetooth On
Power on your Samsung Katalyst before attempting to use any Bluetooth devices. Turn on Bluetooth by going into the settings menu, selecting "Bluetooth," and then open the Bluetooth menu. Use the select key to change the Bluetooth option from "Off" to "On."
Pair With Bluetooth
Select "Search new device" from the available options within the Bluetooth menu on your phone to connect a new Bluetooth-enabled device to your Katalyst. To find a device, such as a headset, turn the device on and place it near your Katalyst. Once your Katalyst locates the Bluetooth-enabled device to pair with it, highlight the device name on your phone and press the "Select" button. Your phone then prompts you to enter a pairing code for the device. On headsets, speakerphones and car stereos, the pairing code is typically found on a sticker attached to the device. If you don't see a pairing code on the device, check the manual that came with the device.
Place and Answer Calls
Answer and place calls using a Bluetooth device by dialing a number while your headset or speakerphone is located nearby. Once you dial a number, the Katalyst asks if you want to use your headset to place the call. If a call comes in while your headset is powered on, answer the call using your headset rather than your phone. Simply press the answer button on your headset or other hands-free device to answer the call without touching with your Katalyst.
