Does a Samsung Juke Have Internet Access?

by Nick Davis

The Samsung Juke is both a cell phone and a portable music player. The phone includes a text messaging component, but you can't access the Internet on the phone. The phone does not include an Internet browser and does not include a Web search tool. Samsung Juke's Get It Now application is similar to an Internet browser, but you can only download a limited selection of music, ringtones, games and applications via the service.

Verizon V Cast

The Samsung Juke is also not capable of accessing and downloading content from Verizon V Cast via the phone's operating system, if using the phone with its original carrier Verizon. V Cast is a digital store that contains music, videos and entertainment content. Samsung doesn't offer a operating system patch to add access to V Cast, nor can you download a utility to your phone that adds V Cast to your phone.

Third-party Internet Browsers

You also cannot download and install a third-party Internet browser to the Samsung Juke. Samsung doesn't offer an Internet browser add-on app.

Get It Now Component

The Samsung Juke's Get It Now component offers limited content, including organization apps, travel apps, games, music and ringtones, for downloading via your cellular carrier. The component does not use an Internet browser and is not removable if you no longer want it on your Samsung Juke.

Accessing Get It Now

Get It Now is accessible via your Samsung Juke's home screen. Within the component, select “Get It Now.” Select “Tools on the Go” or “Games” and then “Get New Applications" to select and download new apps, games or other content. Follow the onscreen prompts to confirm your selection and download it.
