As an Android phone running either Android 2.1 or 2.2, the Samsung Fascinate is compatible with the Kindle app for Android. Multiple applications come preinstalled on the Fascinate -- also called the Samsung Galaxy S -- including the Kindle app. Using the application, you can read your purchased Kindle content or buy something new directly from your phone.
Accessing the App
Since the the Kindle app comes preinstalled on the Fascinate, you won't have to download it before use. You can find the application under the Apps menu, the menu showing all of your phone's applications. Moving the application to one of your home screen's pages provides easier access in the future.
Upon first launching the Kindle app, you'll be required to sign in or create an account. To get your Kindle content synced with the application, sign in to your Amazon account. Using the account you purchase Kindle content with, you can transfer any purchased material to the app. Once you've paid for the content, you can use it across multiple devices, like your Kindle and the app on your Fascinate. Tap the "Register" button if you don't have an Amazon account or would like to create a Kindle-specific account.
Downloading the App
If you can't find the application, you may have deleted it by mistake. The Kindle app is free and you can re-download it using the Google Play Store. Launch the store by tapping the Google Play icon, and then search for "Kindle." Open the application's page and tap "Install." Once the app downloads and installs, you'll find it on your phone's Applications page.
Purchasing New Content
The app also comes with a full-featured version of the Kindle store. From the app's homepage, tap "Store" to start shopping. You can search for titles or browse the Kindle store's categories. You'll need an Internet connection to browse the store and download content. Data charges may apply if you're using a 3G or 4G connection instead of Wi-Fi.
