Virus Lab Downloader, also known as Virus Response Lab, is a virus that disguises itself as a legitimate antivirus program. The virus hides itself in a video codec and infects your computer when the video codec is downloaded. Virus Lab Downloader floods your computer with pop-ups notifying you that your computer is infected and then directing you to a website where you can download a program to remove the infections. Unfortunately, this is simply an attempt to procure your financial information and to get you to download additional viruses.
