How to Get Rid of Think-Adz Pop Ups

Think-Adz is a type of spyware that bombards a computer with many unwanted advertising pop-ups. It is a self-starting program that remains active as long as your computer is running. These pop-ups are not only distracting to the user, they can also drain computer resources and memory, causing the computer to function slowly. Think-Adz can be removed by downloading free updated versions of spyware programs.

Boot Computer to Safe Mode

Step 1

Restart your computer.

Step 2

Press the "F8" key repeatedly on your keyboard as the computer starts up. This will allow you to start your computer in Safe Mode.

Step 3

Choose to start in Safe Mode with network capabilities.

Malwarebytes

Step 1

Go to the Malwarebytes website and download the free anti-spyware program.

Step 2

Install the program and allow Malwarebytes to put an icon on your desktop.

Step 3

Update the definitions if the program requests an update.

Step 4

Double-click the Malewarebytes desktop icon to start the program.

Step 5

Navigate to the "Update" tab and click "Check for Updates." Allow the program to update if needed.

Step 6

Navigate to the "Scanner" tab, choose the "Perform Full Scan" option and click the "Scan" button.

Step 7

Allow Malwarebytes to scan your computer. This may take some time.

Step 8

Review the results of the completed scan for any Think-Adz entries. Click "Remove Selected" to allow Malwarebytes to remove any issues it has found.

Step 9

Reboot your computer.

SuperAntiSpyware

Step 1

Go to the SuperAntiSpyware website and download the free software.

Step 2

Install SuperAntiSpyware and allow it to put an icon on your desktop.

Step 3

Click the icon on your desktop to start the program and allow the program to update its definitions if it prompts you.

Step 4

Click "Scan your Computer" to view your scanning options.

Step 5

Choose your computer's main drive. Then make sure that "Perform Complete Scan" is selected and click the "Next" button.

Step 6

Allow SuperAntiSpyware to scan your computer. This may take some time.

Step 7

Review the scan summary, then click "OK" to see a list of possible issues. Choose to remove any Think-Adz entries that the program has found.

Step 8

Click "Next" to remove the issues and reboot your computer if prompted.

Spybot Search and Destroy

Step 1

Go to the Spybot Search and Destroy website to download the program for free.

Step 2

Install the program and allow Spytbot to place an icon on your desktop.

Step 3

Click the Spybot desktop icon to start the program.

Step 4

Allow Spybot to make a registry backup, then click the "Next" button.

Step 5

Click the "Search for Updates" button and choose your country from the server list. Then download any files that Spybot requests. Completing the update will restart the program.

Step 6

Click the "Search and Destroy" button, then click the "Check for Problems" button.

Step 7

Allow Spybot to scan your computer.

Step 8

Remove any Think-Adz entries that Spybot finds and reboot if prompted.
