The Apple iPod is a device that stores songs, pictures and video as portable entertainment. The iPod device requires the use of Apple's iTunes application in order to add and delete content. All of the music, picture and video files stored on the iTunes application and the iPod itself are referred to as the Library. In the event that all of the files are wiped off your iPod, you can easily restore your files.
Step 1
Open the iTunes application on your personal computer where the media files for your iPod are stored.
Step 2
Connect the iPod to your computer using the included USB-connection cable. Plug one end of the cable into an open USB slot on the computer and the other end into the iPod.
Step 3
Select your iPod from the "Devices" menu on the left side of the open iTunes application by left-clicking it once.
Step 4
Select the "File" menu from the top of the iTunes application and select "Sync iPod." iTunes will begin the process of transferring your library to the iPod.
