Accidentally deleting a contact from your iPhone doesn't mean that it is gone forever. Each time you connect your iPhone to your computer, iTunes automatically syncs the data stored on it and creates a backup point. This allows you to restore your iPhone to a previous time and retrieve any contacts on your iPhone that have been deleted. It's a straightforward procedure that will save you the time of having to add your contacts back in manually.
Step 1
Open iTunes on your computer by double-clicking the iTunes icon on your desktop.
Step 2
Plug your iPhone into your computer using the USB cable that it came with.
Step 3
Right-click on "iPhone" on the left hand side of the iTunes window under the "Devices" column.
Step 4
Select "Restore From Backup" and choose the backup version to which you want to restore the iPhone from the list in the drop down menu.
Step 5
Wait for the restore to complete and eject the iPhone from iTunes. Click the "Eject" icon located beside the device and unplug it from your computer. Scroll to your contacts in the iPhone to locate the previously deleted contacts.
