Registering your iPad ensures that your device is covered under Apple's standard warranty or AppleCare if you elected to purchase the additional coverage. By registering your product, you can access online support, talk to Apple specialists and send your device in for repairs. If you skipped the registration wizard when you first enabled your product, you can register later by using Apple's short, online registration wizard. Provided you have an Apple ID, registration takes only a few minutes.
Step 1
Navigate to the Apple registration website at register.apple.com.
Step 2
Select your country from the Select Your Location drop-down menu.
Step 3
Choose a language from the Select Your Preferred Language drop-down menu.
Step 4
Enter your Apple ID in the Apple ID and Password text boxes and then click "Continue." If you don't have an Apple ID, click the "Create One" link and follow the prompts to choose an Apple ID and password.
Step 5
Select between the "One Product" or "More Than One Product" radio button to indicate whether you want to register one device or more than one device.
Step 6
Select "iPad" from the Select a Category menu. Then, select "iPad" under Select a Product Line. Finally, choose the type of iPad you have in the Select a Product list. Click "Continue."
Step 7
Enter your product serial number in the "Serial Number" box. Then, select an option that best describes where you plan to use the product and your occupation. Click "Continue" when finished.
Step 8
Verify that you have entered the correct information and click "Finish."
Tip
- If you have trouble finding your serial number, click the "Settings" app on your iPad. Select "General" and "About" to view the serial number for your device.
