The Creative Zen Micro MP3 player can hold over 1,000 songs and comes with 32 FM radio station channels for hours of musical entertainment. The Zen Micro also has a recovery mode that enables you to clean up the hard drive, install new firmware or format the device. Formatting the Zen Micro deletes all content on the device and restores the settings to a default state.

Step 1

Slide the Power switch to the right to turn off the Zen Micro.

Step 2

Turn the Zen Micro over and slide the battery cover off the device. Lift the battery out of the device.

Step 3

Slide the Power switch to the right and hold it there. While holding the Power switch, reinsert the battery. The Recovery Mode screen appears.

Step 4

Select "Format All." Highlight and select "Yes" to confirm that you want to delete all content on the device. The Zen Micro restarts when the formatting process completes.

Warning

  • Formatting deletes everything on the Zen Micro's hard disk. Copy content you want to keep to your computer before formatting.
