Adding Newgrounds animations on your iPod lets you view them anywhere.

Newgrounds is a website that contains many movies, shorts and other animations in the form of Flash (also known as SWF) files. Flash files are compressed files popular for animations. They can play directly in your browser without a video player such as YouTube's, but they're not as easy to save and share as other file formats. Putting an animation on your iPod requires downloading the SWF file with your browser, then converting it to a format that will be recognized by iTunes.
Download Using Firefox
Step 1
Open your Firefox browser, then access the page containing the video you want to transfer to your iPod.
Step 2
Right click on an empty area of the page, then click "View Page Info." From the window that pops up, click the "Media" tab.
Step 3
Scroll through the list of files displayed on the site under the "Address" section of the box to locate the .swf file (a URL with ".swf" at the end of the file name). Click the file name inside the white box, then click the "Save As" button below. At the prompt, save the file to your desktop.
Download Using Internet Explorer
Step 1
Open Internet Explorer, then access the webpage containing the file you want to download.
Step 2
Click "Tools," then click "Internet Options." Click the "Settings" button under the "Browsing History" section.
Step 3
Click "View Files" in the window that appears. Locate the .swf file on the list, right click it, then select "Copy." Paste the document anywhere on your computer where you want to save the file.
Convert and Synchronize
Step 1
Open an online conversion website, or use a free SWF to AVI tool to convert the file (see the Resources section for links to tools you can use). AVI is a common format to use, but you can also use MOV or other formats that iTunes would recognize as video files.
Step 2
Select your SWF file, then select the format to which you wish to convert it. Again, AVI or MOV files would be appropriate. The conversion process may take some time depending on the size of the SWF file.
Step 3
Open iTunes, then click "File," then "Add File to Library." Select the file you just converted, then click "Choose."
Step 4
Plug in your iPod, then select the "Movies" tab from the iPod control screen in your iTunes window. Check the box next to the file you just imported, then click "Sync" to transfer the movie to your iPod.
Tip
- You can use the download method in your browser to download similar files on different sites as well. Converter tools also allow the conversion of a variety of file types to a multitude of different formats.
