Some say a picture is worth a thousand words, so if you have a lengthy message to leave for one of your Facebook friends, why not save the space and post an image instead? Facebook lets you post links, video and graphic files as Wall posts just as you would a text comment. A smaller thumbnail version of your picture will appear on your friend's Wall; anyone can click on that image to see a full size version.

Step 1

Log in to Facebook.

Step 2

Type your friend's name in the search box at the top of the screen. Click on his name when it appears to load his profile and Wall.

Step 3

Choose "Photo" next to "Share" at the top of his Wall.

Step 4

Click "Upload" to post an image saved on your computer. Click "Browse." Double-click on the picture file on your computer to upload it.

Step 5

Enter a text comment to appear alongside the photo in the "Say Something" box if you like.

Step 6

Click "Share." Your photo now appears on your friend's wall as a comment.

Tip

  • If the photo you want to post is on a website rather than on your hard drive, choose "Link" instead of "Photo" next to "Share." Enter the URL of the image, and Facebook will take care of the rest.

Warning

  • As of March 2011, you cannot include a picture in a reply to another comment, only in an original post.
