A DSL line is a high-speed Internet connection that works over a phone line. The PlayStation 3 supports DSL connections through a port in the back. Once connected, you should be able to access the PlayStation Store where you can purchase games, themes and other programs. Once you know the process, accessing the PlayStation store is relatively easy.

Computers

Step 1

Turn on your computer and open a website to ensure your DSL is connected.

Step 2

Visit the PlayStation (us.PlayStation.com) website. Point to "PlayStation" network on the left menu and click "PlayStation Store." Click the region you live in if asked.

Step 3

Click on the "Sign In" tab in the top right corner of the screen. Enter your personal details and sign in or register for an account. You will need to provide your credit card details if you wish to purchase items.

Step 4

Log-in and cycle through the various sections of the PlayStation Store to make purchases or download free films, games and other programs. If you access the PlayStation Store over a PS3, you won't be able to play them.
