How to Play SWFs on an iPad

SWF is a Web multimedia format. SWF files support vector graphics; this reduces files' sizes and makes transferring them faster. If you want to watch your favorite SWF videos on your iPad, you'll need to convert them to MP4 format using a third-party video converter,then add the MP4s to iTunes and sync them to your iPad.

Step 1

Download Xstudio SWF to iPad Converter and install it on your computer (see Resources). Use this application to convert SWF files to MP4s that will play on your iPad. The program can also rip an SWF's audio track to an independent file, using audio-extracting technology to preserve the original sound. Step 2

Download the free trial of Aunsoft SWF Converter (see Resources). This application converts SWF movies to the MP4 format. It can convert multiple movie files with one click of a button. In addition, SWF Converter includes a settings section in which you can adjust the video and audio settings to optimize the MP4 for viewing on your iPad.
