How to Play Netflix on a Samsung Omnia

The Samsung Omnia 7 phone utilizes the Windows Phone 7 operating system, which includes access to the Windows Phone marketplace. This market gives Omnia owners the ability to browse through a catalog that includes more than 100,000 active applications. One such application that you can download free of charge allows you to access and stream Netflix's extensive collection movies and television shows. If you'd rather not download the app, you can still browse to the Netflix website and stream from there.

Netflix App

Step 1

Tap the arrow in the top-right corner of your Omnia 7's home screen to access Menu mode.

Step 2

Slide your finger across the screen to scroll through the applications in your menu. Tap "Marketplace."

Step 3

Tap the search button and type "Netflix" in the search bar. Tap the "Netflix" app when it appears in the search results.

Step 4

Tap "Install" to download the app to your Omnia 7.

Step 5

Tap "Netflix" from your phone's menu after the installation is complete to open the application. Enter your email address and password to log in to your account.

Step 6

Browse through the selection of instant TV shows and movies to find a title you want to play. Tap the title's image to begin streaming it on your phone.

Step 1

Select "Internet Explorer" from your phone's menu to access the Internet.

Step 2

Tap the input field at the top of the IE window and enter "netflix.com." Tap the arrow key on the right to browse to the Web page.

Step 3

Tap "Member Sign In" from the top-right corner of the Netflix home page and enter your account information. Tap "Continue."

Step 4

Browse through the "Watch Instantly" selection to find titles available for streaming. Tap the title's image to begin viewing your selection.

Tip

  • The Netflix app only works with Windows Phone 7 OS and higher, so users with older Omnia models will have to use the Netflix website to stream content on their devices.

Warning

  • Streaming video from Netflix while using a cellular network can result in massive data usage. If you don't have an unlimited data plan, connect to a Wi-Fi network before you use Netflix.
