Facebook is a popular social networking site that allows you to interact with other users you have added as "friends." This allows you to see information they post about themselves. While Facebook notifies you when someone sends or accepts a friend request, it doesn't when someone unfriends you. If you want to know who has dropped off your friends list, you can download user scripts that will reveal the identity of those who have unfriended you.

Step 1

Download Unfriend Finder. This is a script that, once downloaded, works on most internet browsers and will notify you through Facebook when someone unfriends you. Just as Facebook displays friend requests in the notification toolbar at the top of your profile, Unfriend Finder adds similar notifications when someone unfriends you. In addition, a list of people who have defriended you will appear alongside your pending friend requests. The script is free and will also notify you when someone ignores or hasn't accepted a friend request.

Step 2

Use Defriended for iPhone. This app will keep track of who has defriended you so you can still check while you're out and about. Once you have downloaded it, it connects to your Facebook account and will keep a list of people who have defriended you. It works by comparing your current list of Facebook friends with an older saved version of your friends list. The app costs 99 cents and can't tell you who has removed you from their friends list in the past -- it will start working from the first time you use it.

Step 3

Register with Who Deleted Me. This is a free online service that tracks changes in your Facebook friends list. Once you log into the service using your Facebook account information, the website will send you an email every time your number of friends drops. The service is free and will send you a notification when you remove someone from your friends list, when someone else removes you from his friends list or when someone deletes an account.
