A Memory Stick is a type of memory card manufactured by Sony for use primarily with cameras, but also with other electronics, such as gaming systems. The Memory Stick comes in a variety of types and options for memory capacity. Determining the type of Memory Stick your camera uses will help you to locate a Memory Stick for your camera. A variety of purchasing options are available.

Step 1

Determine the type of Memory Stick your camera uses. This is usually printed over the memory card slot or in your camera's manual. Some different types are Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Micro and Memory Stick Pro-HG.

Step 2

Visit an electronics store and go to its memory card section. It should have all of the Memory Stick brand cards stocked together.

Step 3

Visit a reputable online marketplace and search for the Memory Stick. A few options are Amazon.com, B & H or Newegg.com.

Step 4

Visit a camera store to see if it has the Memory Stick brand available. If you cannot figure out what kind of Memory Stick you need, the sales representative should be able to assist you with that as well.

Step 5

Purchase the Memory Stick from the venue of your choice.
