Ever wondered what your phone would look like with the Windows Vista Theme loaded onto it? Many phones come with extraordinary multimedia capabilities. You can surf the web, download music and photos, and download specialized themes. Windows.com has made it easy for you to download and create your own Windows Vista Theme.

Creating the Theme

Step 1

Go to Microsoft.com/windowsmobile and navigate to the "Custom theme creator" page.

Step 2

Click the blue bar that says "Start the customer theme creator."

Step 3

Select your phone's model from the list. If you do not see your phones model click "Don't see your model" at the bottom of the page.

Step 4

Select your theme color. For Windows Vista, this would be blue. From the same page select your style. From the three styles available, select the middle one, which is a Windows Vista theme.

Step 5

Click the option at the top of the page that says "Wallpaper your phone."

Step 6

Go to www.google.com, type in "Windows Vista wallpaper," select the wallpaper of your choice, right-click it and save it to a folder on your PC.

Step 7

Click upload image within the "Custom Theme Creator." Locate the folder where your image is located, click the image and then click open. The image will appear on the screen. Slide the bar above the picture to select how much of the picture you would like to show on your screen. Click "Keep."

Step 8

Click "Generate theme."

Saving your Theme

Step 1

Name your theme.

Step 2

Type your phone number in the boxes underneath the phrase "Send download link to your phone via SMS." Click "Send."

Step 3

Open the text message, select a downloaded link and save the scene file to "My Documents."

Step 4

Navigate to your documents folder from the settings tab and select your theme.
