iTunes lets you sync audiobooks from the iTunes Store and various third-party providers to your iPod. iTunes categorizes all of your audio books in the "Books" section in addition to any regular e-Books used in the iBooks application. When you sync your audio books to your iPod, iTunes gives you the choice of loading all of your audiobooks or only the titles that you select.
Step 1
Plug your iPod's USB sync cable into one of your computer's USB ports and then open iTunes. If the audiobook is not already in your iTunes library, click "File" and select "Add File to Library." Select the audiobook in the dialog box that appears and then click "Open" to add it to the library.
Step 2
Click your iPod's icon under "Devices" on iTunes' left pane. Uncheck the check box next to "Manually Manage Music and Videos" on the "Summary" screen if the box is selected and then click "Books" at the top of the page.
Step 3
Select the check box next to "Sync Books" and then click "All Books" to sync your entire audiobook collection. If you want to manually select books, click "Selected Books" and select the books you want to sync below under "Audiobooks."
Step 4
Click "Apply" to put the audiobooks onto the iPod.
