You can customize the Samsung Intercept's basic layout and user interface via third-party launcher applications, such as LauncherPro. Download LauncherPro for the Android device as you would any other application and set it as your default launcher to take advantage of additional options for shortcuts on your home screen, a 3D app drawer, up to seven home screens and custom widgets. LauncherPro doesn't alter or erase any native home screen layouts, but serves as an alternative to them, as you're able to freely switch back and forth between launchers on the device.

Step 1

Tap the "Play Store" icon in the Intercept's app drawer.

Step 2

Press the smartphone's Search key, designated by a magnifying glass.

Step 3

Type "LauncherPro" in the search field that appears and tap the magnifying glass icon next to it.

Step 4

Select "LauncherPro" from the list of results.

Step 5

Tap "Install" and wait for the application to be downloaded and installed on your device.

Step 6

Press the Intercept's Home key and select "LauncherPro" from the options provided to use the application.

Tip

  • Set LauncherPro as your default launcher by pressing the device's Home key, tapping the check box next to "Use by default for this action" and selecting LauncherPro from the options listed.
  • De-select LauncherPro as your default launcher by pressing the smartphone's Menu button at the home screen and tapping "Settings" followed by "Applications," "Manage Applications," "LauncherPro" and "Clear Defaults."
