The iPhone comes with over two dozen wallpapers that you can use for the background on your home screen. In addition, you can use any of the pictures saved on your phone as a wallpaper. The Auto-Lock feature on the iPhone turns the phone off after a period of inactivity in order to conserve battery power. If you want to keep the screen on for a longer period of time, change the Auto-Lock settings.
Step 1
Tap "Settings" on the iPhone's home screen, then tap "General."
Step 2
Scroll down through the menu and tap "Auto-Lock." A list of times--from one minute to five minutes--appears on the screen, along with the option "Never." The time with the check mark next to it is your current setting.
Step 3
Tap a time that is longer than the current time selected. If you want the phone to stay on until you manually turn it off, select "Never."
Tip
- Turn off the phone before the Auto-Lock kicks in by pressing the "On/Off" button on the top of the phone.
Warning
- Keeping the phone on longer reduces the battery life.
