WebUpdater updates your Garmin's firmware and features.

Garmin regularly releases new firmware for its Nuvi line of GPS devices that updates a variety of features, including maps, navigation, traffic reports and voice languages. Garmin's free WebUpdater tool updates your Nuvi's firmware automatically when you connect the GPS to your computer.
Download and Install WebUpdater
Step 1
Open your Web browser and go to the Garmin WebUpdater download page.
Step 2
Click "Download" and "Save File." Click "Desktop" on the left side of the window that opens, then click "Save.
Step 3
Double-click the WebUpdater installation file, then click "Run" at the prompt.
Step 4
Click "Next." Click the check box to agree to the license terms, then click "Next" again. WebUpdater installs on the computer.
Step 5
Click "Done" at the prompt to close the installation window.
Update Your Garmin
Step 1
Connect your Garmin GPS to the computer using a USB cable.
Step 2
Click "Start | Programs | Garmin | WebUpdater."
Step 3
Click "Next," then click "Find Device" and "Next." Wait for WebUpdater to detect the GPS.
Step 4
Click "Next" when the software detects your device to download and install the latest firmware. After the firmware update, the software searches for additional updates.
Step 5
Click the check box next to each additional update that you want to install. Click "Next," then check the Agreement box.
Step 6
Click "Finish" when the updates finish loading. Disconnect the Garmin from the computer to allow the update process to complete. The Garmin may reboot several times during this process.
Warning
- Do not disconnect the Garmin from the computer during the update process. This may render the device inoperable.
