When a computer program guides you through the steps of a process (for example, installing a new piece of hardware or software), this utility is called a "wizard." The iPod Wizard is built into iTunes and is used any time you sync content from your computer to the hard drive in your device. If you want to install games onto your iPod using the iPod Wizard, you'll just need to make sure your iPod is properly connected to your computer.
Step 1
Insert one end of the USB data cable that you received when you purchased your iPod into the input on the bottom of the iPod.
Step 2
Insert the other end of the USB data cable that you received when you purchased your iPod into a USB port somewhere on the case of your computer.
Step 3
Open iTunes. If you do not already have iTunes installed on your computer, you can find it in the form of a free download on Apple's website (see References).
Step 4
Click one time with your left mouse button on the name of your iPod. This name will be located about midway down the left side column onscreen. This will bring up the "Settings" page for your iPod, which you can use to access the iPod installation wizard.
Step 5
Click on the "Games" tab. Make sure "Sync Games" has a check to the left of it. This will let iTunes know that you'd like to install any downloaded games to your iPod.
Step 6
Click "Sync." Any games that you have downloaded to your computer will be synced to your iPod through the iPod wizard.
Tip
- Games can be purchased for your iPod from the iTunes music store, which is accessible through the main iTunes program window.
