Verizon's Message Center allows you to transfer all your email accounts, including your Windows Live email account, to your Verizon account. Once set up, all contacts and new email messages can be checked by logging into your Verizon email. This prevents you from having to access multiple email accounts. The other accounts will stay open, just all the mail will be forwarded to your Verizon account. Not only will you be able to read your Windows Live email from your Verizon account, you'll be able to respond to the email as well.
Log in to your Verizon email account. Type your username and password and then press the "Sign In" button. You will be redirected to your email account.
Click the "Settings" tab in the upper-left corner of the screen.
Select "Import" in the "General Settings" column on the left-side of the screen below "Calendar Settings."
Select "Import POP3 Email" from the "Import & Switch Email" menu, then click the "Add Email" button. Post Office Protocol, or POP, retrieves messages and contact information from remote accounts like Windows Live email.
Select "Others" from the "Email Provider" drop-down list. Type "Windows Live" next to "Provider Name," enter your Windows Live email address and Windows Live password, then click "Next." Verizon will then access your Windows Live account and begin retrieving messages and contact information.
- You need to update your Verizon account to the main "Welcome Center" settings. There's a link at the bottom of old accounts to upgrade. There is no software that needs to be downloaded to upgrade.
