How to Identify the Model of a Compaq Presario

Knowing the exact model of your Compaq Presario laptop or desktop PC is important when downloading updated software or drivers or when seeking technical support. There are various ways to ascertain the correct model number for your system.

Label

Most Compaq Presario computers have an identification label attached, containing the machine's serial number and model number. The location of this label varies between different models.
