A common language for creating websites, Javascript is used by programmers to build navigational menus, validate forms and add numerous features. On Windows computers, Microsoft includes Internet Explorer by default. Windows uses Internet Explorer to power any Internet-based features, such as Help and Support. If you use a non-Internet Explorer browser within Windows, such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari, you must change the security settings on a per browser basis.
Step 1
Click on "Start," then "Control Panel." Click on "Classic View" in the left column, if applicable.
Step 2
Double-click "Internet Options."
Step 3
Click on the "Security" tab, then click the "Custom Level" button.
Step 4
Scroll down to the "Scripting" section.
Step 5
Click on "Enable" under "Active Scripting." Click "OK." Click "Yes" and "OK."
Warning
- Enabling Javascript can make your computer's security vulnerable.
