JavaScript is a client-side scripting language most commonly used to add interactive functionality to web pages. Although it delivers a wide range of helpful features, the language is perhaps best known for allowing website owners to deploy pop-up windows. Widely seen as an annoyance, many users elect to disable JavaScript in their Web browser as a way to avoid pop-ups. Whether you use NetZero or any other Internet service provider, enabling JavaScript in your browser is a quick task once you know where to look.
Enable JavaScript in Internet Explorer
Step 1
Click "Tools" in the top menu bar and select "Internet Options."
Step 2
Select the "Security" tab and click the "Internet Zone" icon.
Step 3
Click the "Custom Level" button.
Step 4
Scroll down the list of options until you reach the "Scripting" heading.
Step 5
Set the "Active Scripting" setting to "Enable."
Step 6
Click "OK" to confirm the change.
Enable JavaScript in Firefox
Step 1
Click "Tools" in the top menu bar and select "Options."
Step 2
Select the "Content" tab.
Step 3
Check the box labeled "Enable JavaScript."
Step 4
Click "OK" to confirm the change.
Enable JavaScript in Opera
Step 1
Click "Tools" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences."
Step 2
Select the "Advanced" tab.
Step 3
Click the "Content" option on the left-hand side of the dialog box.
Step 4
Check the box labeled "Enable JavaScript."
Step 5
Click "OK" to confirm the change.
