If you want to download and use the Windows Installer version 2.0, you can do so by accessing Microsoft's website. Tip
- By default, Windows XP runs Windows Installer 2.0. However, if a newer version, such as Windows Installer 3.0, has been installed, some Microsoft Office patches and updates cannot install correctly. In cases like this Windows XP users need to download Windows Installer 2.0 to get their systems back to the default.
