In addition to managing the additions and deletions of software, it also provides save states for your computer in case a crash occurs. If you want to download and use the Windows Installer version 2.0, you can do so by accessing Microsoft's website. - By default, Windows XP runs Windows Installer 2.0. However, if a newer version, such as Windows Installer 3.0, has been installed, some Microsoft Office patches and updates cannot install correctly.
