You can download photos from a BlackBerry to a computer using the BlackBerry Desktop program. Media Sync is a built-in feature of the program that you can use to synchronize music, videos and pictures. You must have a memory card installed in the phone to transfer photos to your computer.

Step 1

Insert a memory card into your BlackBerry. Open the photo viewer program on your phone and transfer the pictures to the memory card.

Step 2

Open the Web browser on your computer and go to the BlackBerry Desktop Software download page. Download and install the program according to the instructions on the screen. BlackBerry Desktop will open following completion of the last step of the installation process.

Step 3

Connect your BlackBerry to your computer using your USB connection cable. Wait several minutes for the device driver to be installed. You will know when this occurs when a new window labeled "You've connected a new BlackBerry device" appears.

Step 4

Click "Get started with this device" in the "Add a New BlackBerry Device" window. Click "Finish."

Step 5

Click "Pictures" on the left pane of the program to set up picture synchronization and import pictures from your phone to your computer. Complete the set up and you can begin importing photos.

Tip

  • Select images on your phone and email them to yourself to transfer them to your computer if you do not have a memory card installed in your BlackBerry.
