Download music from your computer onto your Motorola RIZR Z3 and turn your phone into a portable MP3 player. You can use your RIZR Z3 to listen to your music through a wireless Bluetooth headset or with wired headphones. If you switch the phone to “Airplane Mode,” you can even listen to your music in-flight.

Step 1

Insert the microSD card into the adapter until it clicks in place. Slide the adapter into the SD card slot on your computer.

Step 2

Click the "Start" menu on your desktop and select “Computer.” Find the drive labeled “SD Device,” “Removeable Device” or “Secure Digital” and double-click to open it. Locate and open the “Audio” folder, which is located under the “Mobile” folder.

Step 3

Find the MP3 files that you want to transfer. They may be in the “My Music” folder or another folder you created.

Step 4

Click and drag the files from the music folder to the Audio folder to copy them. If you want to remove them from your computer entirely, highlight the files and press "Ctrl-X" on your keyboard to cut the files, then click the folder on the microSD card and press "Ctrl-V" to paste the files.

Step 5

Remove the microSD adapter from your computer by pushing it in until it clicks and springs out. Use the same technique to remove the microSD card from the adapter.

Step 6

Insert the microSD card into your RIZR Z3. The slot is located under the battery cover.

Step 7

Power on the phone and select "Fun & Apps" from the main menu. Select "Sounds."

Step 8

Use the arrow keys to highlight the song you wish to move and press "Options." Select “Move” if you wish to permanently remove the song from the microSD flash drive or choose “Copy” if you want to leave the songs on the card.

Tip

  • You can use a USB cable instead of the microSD card. Simply connect your RIZR to your PC using the USB cable and follow the instructions provided above to click and drag or cut and paste.
