Many of the models in the Garmin Zumo line of GPS receivers have a music player that you can use to playback your music collection. Zumo receivers, like most Garmin GPS units, only support MP3 files. Music is downloaded to the Zumo from a computer through a USB connection, and you can save the files to the Zumo's internal memory or to an installed microSD card.
Step 1
Connect the mini-USB end of the USB cable to the Garmin Zumo, and then plug the standard USB end of the cable into a USB port on your computer.
Step 2
Click the Windows Start button, select "Computer" and then double-click the "Garmin" drive. If you have a microSD card installed in the Zumo, you can select the microSD card drive instead of the Garmin drive.
Step 3
Double-click the "MP3" folder.
Step 4
Drag the music you want to store on the device from the computer to the MP3 window. Another option is to copy and paste the music in the folder. Right-click the MP3, select "Copy," right-click the MP3 window and select "Paste."
Step 5
Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray and click "Eject Garmin." Unplug the Zumo when the "Safe to Remove Hardware" message appears.
Tip
- If the MP3 folder is not in the Garmin or microSD card drives, right-click the window, select "Create New Folder" and enter "MP3" as the name.
Warning
- The procedure described is for the Garmin Zumo 665LM and previous Zumo models that have music players. It may vary significantly with other versions or products.
