MP3 to Ringtone Gold is free software available online on many freeware download sites. The program converts sound files on the user's computer to formats that cellphones can use as ringtones. Sounds can be in any of the following formats: MP3, WMA, AMR, WAV, OGG or on a CD. MP3 to Ringtone Gold will convert them to M4R, MMF, AMR, MP3, WAV or QCP files. Then it will send them for free to the user's cellphone. It can also compress MP3 audio files.

Step 1

Navigate to MP3 to Ringtone Gold's download page on CNET (see Resources for link), a technology website with a freeware downloads section.

Step 2

Click "Download Now" next to the green square button to download the free version. The file download will begin automatically. Save the setup file to the desktop when prompted. If you want to purchase the full version, click the "Buy now" link, which will direct you to a page from which you can purchase and download the software.

Step 3

Double-click the setup file on the desktop and follow all onscreen instructions to finish downloading and installing MP3 to Ringtone Gold.

Tip

  • The free version of MP3 to Ringtone Gold creates five-second ringtone clips; to create longer ringtones you will have to buy the full version.
