How to Download Movies From Computer to iPod

Certain models of the iPod, including the iPod Touch and the iPod Nano, have the capability to play movies. This feature is in addition to their ability to play audio. Those who want to download movies from their computers to their iPods can do so in a way that is very similar to the way that they download music from the computer to the iPod. In both cases, iTunes software is needed to successfully transfer the movie from the computer to the iPod.

Step 1

Connect your iPod to your computer. Click the "iTunes" icon on your computer to open iTunes.

Step 2

Click the iPod icon that appears under "Devices" in the panel on the left side of the page. A new iTunes browser window will open.

Step 3

Select the "Movies" tab. Check the box next to "Sync Movies."

Step 4

Click "Apply" at the bottom of the window. ITunes will now begin transferring movies to the iPod.

Step 5

Disconnect your iPod when the iTunes LCD screen reads "iPod sync is complete." You now have downloaded movies from your computer to your iPod.
