How to Delete Ringtones From a BlackBerry

by Melissa King

If you spend a lot of time using your BlackBerry, you may enjoy customizing it by adding personalized themes and ring tones to the device. Many ring tones are available to download free online, or you can make your own using your favorite music. If you installed a ring tone on your BlackBerry, but no longer want to use it, you might want to delete it. This helps you save memory space on the device, allowing you to add more content.

Step 1

Turn on your BlackBerry device, and go to the main menu. Click on the "Sounds" icon.

Step 2

Click on the "Show Tunes" option. Scroll through the list of ring tones available on the phone, and highlight the one you want to delete.

Step 3

Click on the ring tone you intend to delete. Scroll through the options list and click on "Delete." The ring tone is permanently deleted from the BlackBerry.

Warning

  • Once the ring tone is deleted, if you later decide you want to use it again you will need to put it back on the BlackBerry.
