How to Delete All Messages on a Samsung Omnia

by Joshua Phillips

Like all cell phones, the Samsung Omnia includes text message capability, allowing you to send and receive short text-based messages to and from your friends and family. The Omnia saves a copy of all text messages you send and receive; however, the Omnia has a finite amount of space to store your messages and, when this space is full, you must delete your messages to receive new ones. In addition, it isn't enough to just delete your text messages; you must also delete them from the Deleted Items folder as well.

Step 1

Tap the right soft key to open the Omnia's main menu.

Step 2

Tap "Message" followed by "Text Messages."

Step 3

Tap "Tools" at the top of the screen.

Step 4

Tap "Clear Text Messages." All text messages in your Inbox and Sent folders are sent to the Deleted Items folder.

Step 5

Tap "Tools" again followed by "Empty Deleted Items." All text messages in the Deleted Items folder are permanently deleted.

Tip

  • You cannot recover text messages once they have been permanently deleted.
