The Sprint Music Store allows Sprint users to download music directly to their smart phones or computers. It is set up similarly to the Apple iTunes store or the Verizon V CAST store. The Sprint music files are in WMA (Windows media audio) format with DRM (digital rights management) encryption. Before converting from WMA to MP3, you must first remove the DRM encoding, which requires conversion software. Do not share or sell converted MP3 files.
Step 1
Download and install DRM conversion software from a legal software site, such as Audials Tunebite (see "Resources"). Save Tunebite to your desktop.
Step 2
Click on the "Tunebite" icon on your desktop. Click "Add," then select the WMA Sprint music files you want to convert.
Step 3
Click the drop-down menu next to "Output format" and select "MP3."
Step 4
Click on the WMA files in the Tunebite window to convert. Click the "Start" button to remove the DRM and convert the WMA to an MP3.
